7-Eleven Agrees to No Longer Sell Pornography
Plano, TX- Lawyers with 7-Eleven have sent a letter to Liberty Legal Institute guaranteeing that a 7-Eleven store located in Fort Worth will no longer sell any pornographic materials. Recent copies of the Playboy magazine have since been removed from the store as well.
“We are glad that 7-Eleven responded so quickly and agreed to refrain from selling pornography, in accordance with the terms of our client’s original sale of property to them,” said Hiram Sasser, Director of Litigation with Liberty Legal Institute.
Recently, it came to the attention of a Liberty Legal Institute’s client that pornographic materials were being sold at a 7-Eleven in Fort Worth. Liberty Legal Institute’s client sold property to 7-Eleven in 1982 with a restrictive covenant, which states that “the property shall never be used for the sale or display of any obscene material or performance, or of any obscene device, as now defined in section 49.21 of the Texas Penal Code, or for the sale or display of any material describing or portraying female or male genitals.”
